Samsung Galaxy A21s & A11 Impressions
Hello and welcome to ReviewsPK! My name is Ameer. And this is Samsung Galaxy A21s and Samsung Galaxy A11 feature highlights. Both of these are launched in Pakistani mid range market and the retail price of A21s is Rs. 33,500/- whereas, the price for A11 is Rs. 25,999/-.
You can get these phone cheaper than this if you are interested to purchase them, then links are in the description below. The highlight features of these phones are a hole-punch cutout, there is a quad camera setup given in A21s whereas there is a triple camera setup in A11 there are other also some other features of these phones but we will talk about them later on. Both phones are available in 3 colours, Black, Blue and White Now, let’s move towards the video.
If we start the video with the design and build of the handset, then both have a plastic build. the design language of A21s is same as the one we have seen in the previous A series phones, the same camera module with rounded corners the same prism like multi colour reflection. The back of the phone is with a glossy finish. If we get to A11 the design language has been simplified for the price, the camera module on the back is slimmer as well, the finish on the back is glossy but there is no prism like muilti-coloured reflection.
Note one thing that none of the phones comes with a pre-applied screen protector and we have seen the same thing in Galaxy A31. If we get to the button placement and ports on the right side of both the phones there are volume rockers and power screen on/off button, where as there is a SIM tray on the left the only difference is with the positioning of the headphone jack the headphone jack of A11 is at the top, while the one in A21s in on the bottom And with it, at the bottom both phones have a mic USB Type-C port, and a speaker grill.
Now let’s get to the display in Galaxy A21s there is a PLS TFT display of 6.5 inches which has a resolution of HD+ that is 720 x 1600 and pixel density is 270 ppi On the other hand, in Galaxy A11 smaller than this there is a 6.4 inches PLS TFT display and here resolution is HD+ that is 720 x 1560 whereas the pixel density is 268 ppi. There is hole punch cutout at the top left of both the displays which houses the selfie camera of these phones. Talking about the camera setup there is a quad camera setup given on the back of Galaxy A21s in which there is a a 48MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture this is a Samsung GM2 sensor along with an 8MP Ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor whereas at the front there is a 13MP wide angle selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture.
On the other hand, in A11 there is a very basic triple camera setup in which there is a 13MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture a 5MP Ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Whereas on the front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The maximum video recording resolution of both the phones is set to 1080p at 30 frames per second. And indeed, I will test these phone cameras for their review videos, which be uploaded to the channel very soon, these are just about to get to my studio these are demo units given by Samsung to us. hence, I can not do a full review of it at this time.
Moving forward let’s talk about the specifications of both of these phones. In Galaxy A21s, there is an Exynos 850 chipset which is based on 8nm architecture along with it, there is Mali G52 GPU. The phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage which is an eMMC 5.1 Storage. and if we talk about expansion, the phone has full dual SIM suppport meaning it has a dedicated SD card slot in it. and you can insert 2 SIMs and a microSD card all together. If we talk about the benchmark results of A21s the single-core score in Geekbench 4 came out to be 991 Whereas the multi-core score came out to be 4673 You can see that performance of this phone is quite basic, you can not do any heavy duty tasks in it and if you do some heavy gaming then I would not recommend this phone to you.
but if you have an average or daily type of a use for that this phone is absolutely fine. It can run all your normal daily usage apps social media apps, this phone can be great to watch videos on, as there is a huge battery in it about which we will talk about further in the video as well. Right now, lets move forward and talk about specifications of Galaxy A11 here, there is an 1.8 GHz Octa-core processor given I tried searching about it online a lot, but I could not find whhich processor is inside it.
If you know, do let me know as well. Along with it, the phone has 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. which, again, is eMMC 5.1 Storage. Talking about the expansion then in A11 as well you get a full dual SIM support and a dedicated SD card slot. And if we talk about benchmark results Here, the single-core score of the phone in Geekbench 4 came out to be 753. Whereas the multi-core score came out to be 3865. As you can see that this is an entry level performance. This performance is seen in the price range of Rs. 20,000 – Rs. 22,000/- in Chinese phones or sometimes less.
But still this is a Samsung phone so it is a little bit premium we will talk about this further in the video. Now, if we talk about the fingerprint sensors there are rear mounted fingerprint sensors given in both the phones which has a decent speed not the fastest but in my opinion fine for daily usage. The fingerprint sensors of these phones are not that recess so will not feel it easily. specially when you use them without a cover. Moving forward, let’s talk about the interface out of the box both phones comes with Android 10 on top which One UI is added And this is the same interface which you find it in flagship phones of Samsung.
so, as an experience, I think this is a major plus point that in this kind of cheap phones you get the same experience at-least software-wise and user interface-wise, which you get in their more expensive phones. Now, let’s talk about the battery setups of these phones, there is a huge 5,000mAh battery given in the Galaxy A21s and this is the reason why I was saying earlier in the video, that this phone can be great for video content consumption. Along with it, the phone comes with Samsung’s 15W fast charger which is not that fast this phone will take 2 – 2.5 hours to get from empty to full but once this phone is fully charged undoubtedly its battery life will be great.
the first major reason for that is its 720p display and the second major reason is that its low powered Exynos 850 processor. Moving forward if we talk about the battery setup of Galaxy A11 here, you get a 4,000mAh battery but one amazing thing is that the fast charging support is given in this phone as well, here too, you get a 15W Samsung Adaptive fast charge and in the price rang of Rs. 2,5999/- and if you get a little cheaper like, Rs. 24,000 – 25,000/- price range there are very few phones in which you will get fast charging. And the meaning of a 15W adaptive fast charge is that this phone will fully charge in 1 – 1.25 hours. which in my opinion, is a very good thing for an entry level phone.
But both these phone’s charging times and battery life will be observed for their full reviews If you are interested to see that then be sure to subscribe to the channel. So these were the features of Galaxy A21s and A11 I will use this phone for few days now. But if we talk about some initial impressions, so in my opinion, Samsung is a superioir brand name I know a lot of people that prefer Samsung phones over Chinese brands. A few days ago, a friend of mine called, he was looking for a phone for himself he, in a way is our mentor, and have came to our channel before so, he said to me that, “I only want to buy a Samsung phones”. I told them some Chines variants, but he said, “No, I only want a Samsung”.
So, there are a lot of people who prefers the brand name of Samsung, and the primary reason for that Samsung charges premium for their brand name. But at the end of the day the finish product you get, has a great quality Normally Samsung phones can give you a lifetime. They do not have that kind of problems which we see in other brands Along with it, the interface of Samsung phones is a flagship level interface, we see the same interface in their more expensive phones that also is a good draw.
But, let’s see and try these phones out in the mean time you tell me what are your thoughts regarding Galaxy A21s and Galaxy A11? Will you be interested to buy these phones ? What are the things you liked about these phones? What you did not like? Do let me know in the comment section below.
