Apple Pay Mobile Payments Launched in Brazil
After a long wait, users of iPhones will be able to use Apple Pay in Brazil, a form of payment that uses the Apple phone – similar to Samsung Pay, of the company’s smartphones.
So, instead of using the card, the user uses the phone, leaning it against the payment terminals and using the digital one as a means of security. Only then the payment is made both in physical and virtual stores, through apps.
However, due to a partnership, the service is exclusive for Itaú bank account holders for 90 days.
The service’s arrival in Brazil is late, since Samsung Pay, for example, has been available for almost two years. Google’s Android Pay has been available since November 2017.
